Custer, Black Hills, South Dakota: Ok, it was only 3 hours to Custer in South Dakota from Buffalo Wy.  A long stretch of not much.  We had been to Custer before on a trip in 2010 and liked the surrounding area.  Custer had change for the better since our last visit, not as touristy, but we were there to visit the monuments, a train museum and walk the town of Hill City.  It rained the last time we were in town 8 years ago.  We camped in Custer State Park and like Glacier, we were forced to choose a cabin vs a RV site.  Good news, we were able to plug into a 20 amp outlet on the cabin deck.  So Barbara and I chose the RV while Patrick got the cabin.
