Cape Blanco State Park Campsite, Sixes, OR: It was first come first serve, no reservations. We got there late but we were able to get a choice site on the perimeter over looking the forest's edge and ocean behind it, 50 yards away. That's two thumbs up so far on our Oregon State Park campsite list. Awesome.
The camp host says the weather along the coast in Oregon is bascially the same all year long, high 75, low 50s. Really? I'm gong to check that out when I get some decent cell signal. This could be our favorite other-than-Hawaii location. Might be a good place to retire the Lil Coconut, put it up on blocks on a choice piece of land over looking the Pacific Ocean. From what I hear about the heat and humidity in the islands this August, this might be the summer vacation spot. We can only dream.
