Crescent Lake, Olympic National Park, WA: After leaving Sol Duc early we searched for a new campsite that would shorten the drive to Seattle and found a state park called Sequim Bay. It was fine and even allowed me a 10 mile bike ride around part of the bay and Barbara met some fine folks from East Washington.
Earlier, we did pass by Crescent Lake which was still in the National Park and is west of Port Angeles. We sure wished they had a campground by the rail for trail bike path that ran 15 miles along the gorgeous lake. Better than Lake Quinault I think. We just took some snaps as we drove along the other side of the lake and could only drool. These are the first 6 photos of this album with the remainder are of Sequim. The camera action has slowed down as we come to an end of our journey. We do miss the coastal shoreline as we drive through miles and miles of forest.
I hear the coconut trees rustling in the gentle tradwinds at night, the waves crashing in the bay. We're getting close.
